Step 1: Create a Netflix account
- Open your web browser and go to www.netflix.com.
- Click on the “Sign Up” or “Try 30 Days Free” button.
- Choose a plan (Basic, Standard, or Premium) and click “Continue.”
- Enter your email address and create a password, then click “Continue.”
- Enter your payment information and click “Start Membership.”
Step 2: Set up Netflix on your phone or tablet
- Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your device.
- Search for “Netflix” and download the Netflix app.
- Open the Netflix app and sign in using your email address and password.
Step 3: Set up Netflix on your TV
Note: Your TV must have a built-in Netflix app or support streaming from an external device like a Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, or Google Chromecast.
Option A: Built-in Netflix app
- Press the “Home” or “Smart Hub” button on your TV remote.
- Navigate to the app store or search for “Netflix” in the TV’s app menu.
- Download the Netflix app if it’s not pre-installed.
- Open the Netflix app and sign in using your email address and password.
Option B: External streaming device
- Plug the streaming device into an HDMI port on your TV.
- Connect the device to a power source and turn on your TV.
- Set your TV input to the HDMI port where the streaming device is connected.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your streaming device, including connecting it to your home WiFi network.
- Download the Netflix app on your streaming device, if it’s not pre-installed.
- Open the Netflix app and sign in using your email address and password.
Step 4: Start watching Netflix
- Browse the Netflix library by using the search function or browsing through categories.
- Click on a title to read a brief description or watch a trailer.
- Select the “Play” button to start watching a movie or TV show.
